2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

½ cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed

1 cup freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese

⅓ cup cold apple cider (or apple juice)

½ cup cold buttermilk
Instructions

Prep: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry & Butter: Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in the cold cubed butter until coarse crumbs form.

Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded sharp cheddar.

Combine Liquids: Whisk cold apple cider and buttermilk together, then pour into the flour mixture. Fold gently until dough forms.

Drop & Bake: Drop ¼-cup mounds onto the baking sheet.

Bake: Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly around the edges.
